They teased it a week or so ago and now it’s here, harder bosses to tackle, the Everdark Sovereigns.
These new, harder fights popped into the game late last night on the back of the recent patch update, and there are three being added over the coming weeks. These include Gaping Jaw, Sentient Pest, and Darkdrift Knight.
Everdark Sovereigns Official Announcement
As announced a few weeks ago, stronger and more challenging versions of the following Nightlords will begin to appear from the depths of the night as ‘Everdark Sovereigns’ over the next few weeks: Gaping Jaw, Sentient Pest, and Darkdrift Knight. Other Everdark Sovereigns-(Tricephalos, Augur, Equilibrious Beast and Fissure in the Fog) will be added to the game at a later date.
Every week, a new Everdark Sovereign will arrive in Limveld. After an Everdark Sovereign appears, anyone who has defeated the original version of that Nightlord will be able to face its Everdark Sovereign form. When this time is up, the Sovereign will disappear from the available Expeditions… for now.
*Everdark Sovereign is available for online mode only. If you launch the game in offline mode, please select “LOGIN” from title menu and connect to the game server. Single play is also available in online mode.
These limited-time versions of the Nightlords are extremely challenging and pose an even greater threat to the Nightfarers with new moves and increased power.
The First Everdark Sovereign, an enhanced version of Adel, Baron of the Night (Gaping Jaw) is now available. This encounter will be available from June 19 10:00 JST 3:00AM CEST June 18 6PM PDT to June 26 9:59 JST 2:59 CEST June 25 5:59 PM PDT.
If you can defeat these enhanced versions of the Nightlords before they return to the darkness, you will receive Sovereign Sigils as a reward — unique tokens that can be exchanged for special Relics and other items. Beating an Everdark Sovereign for the first time grants additional Sovereign Sigils.
This is only the beginning of the Everdark Sovereign cycle. As the power of the Night ebbs and wanes, the Sovereigns will soon return to the abyss they came from. Learn their patterna, and rise up together to beat them before they disappear.
Steel yourselves, Nightfarers. The Night is far from over.
